Conclusion

Both were great leaders even their greatness they scared whole the world with their actions.

Napoleon vs. Hitler: something in common

Even though their nationality they had many things in common. Napoleon is one of the most remembered bravery and courage general in the history of war. In the same way, Hitler is also remembered as the most powerful and blood thirsty general in the history.  So they had many things in common, in spite of the epoch.

Napoleon Bonaparte had the mad objective of to control the world. He started his empire in France then little by little his spread was bigger and bigger until he controlled the most of Europe and part of Asia. He fought by using warships, troopers and infantry. And the most common weapons were musket, ballonets and canons. His dominations had successes and victories, until his troops tried to invade Russia, the Russian army just waited the winter and Napoleon’s army fell in that trap and his army died because of winter and Russian army killed them very easy. In this way Napoleon’s empire ended.

In the same way Adolf Hitler had the mad intention of to control the world. He started his empire in Germany, Hitler had under his leadership many countries and he and his allies controlled the most of Europe, Asia and Africa. The most common armaments were hand hold automatic weapons, tanks, aircrafts and battleships. Hitler got a very strong army until his battle against Russia; in the same way, when Hitler’s army tried to invade Russia, the Russian army waited the winter and Hitler’s troops were dying until the army got weak and Russian army attacked them and Hitler was defeated.

Both were great leaders even their greatness they scared whole the world with their actions. They were from different countries but they shared the same objective: To try to control the world. They had a lot of victories by using different armament according with the epochs. Both invaded Europe, part of Asia and part of Africa. And both were defeated for the Russian army by using the same military strategy.

Rock and Roll is not (ain’t) Noise Pollution

Essay pattern # 3

Introduction. - Most people think that Rock & roll is the noisiest music in the world, also people think that is the devil’s work. And some people get confused for the lyrics. However rock and roll is one of the oldest genres of music and it is never going to die.

Counter argument. - People who do not understand or get scare when they listen to rock and roll think that the devil is behind.

 Refutation. – Some topics of rock and roll are hard but it does not mean that rock and roll is a diabolic music.

Counter argument. – People say that rock and roll is noisy and it has not rhythm.

Refutation. – Most people are closed mind and do not tolerate the real sound of music.

Counter argument. -  People say that rock and roll has not sense because they do not understand the lyrics.

Refutation. – People just need to open their minds to understand any song of any genre.

Conclusion. – even though  people consider that rock and roll is the devil’s work a lot more people think that Rock and roll  as way to express something no as the language of devil.  

   

  Rock and Roll is not (ain’t) Noise Pollution

Rock and roll is not just a way to express something, it is a life style. Most people say that rock and roll is the devil’s work. Besides, some people think that that rock and roll is the noisiest music in the world. Moreover, some people do not like rock and roll because they do not understand the songs. Even though rock and roll is one of the oldest genres of music in the world (1955 approx.); many people do not accept that rock and roll is never going to die (rock & roll ain’t noise pollution, album: back in black, AC/DC, 1980).

Sometimes when people are very feeble they got scare when they listen to a song with hard lyrics; they think that the devil is talking through the song or something like that. It is true that many songs are about death, blood, fights, bad actions, and so on, but it does not mean that rockers worship the devil. The hard rock just expresses the things that others cannot express; it is like the voice of those who remain quiet and do not have the guts to say something; nevertheless, it does not mean that rock and roll is a diabolic music.

It is very common to hear people saying that rock and roll is very noisy. Well nobody can say that rock and roll is a soft music; well some types of rock are very soft, but the most of rock and roll types are very noisy and for some people it could be an annoying noise. As we know rock and roll is a very expressive music and for that reason this kind of music has to be very noisy in some cases. But, in order to solve it, people just need tolerance and some respect for the tastes of others, even when a rocker hears the musical tastes of others.  

One common aspect among people who do not like rock and roll is that they do not understand the lyrics. Most people got scare when they listen to something they do not understand and it is when they think that is something diabolic. I agree that some songs are very strange, but people just need to be open mind to appreciate and get the idea of the song some of them are very deep and full of feelings. However there are so many songs that are really aggressive, but for each heavy song there is one lovely song. Rock and Roll is for everybody.

 After all the things that people say against rock and roll it is never going to die. People say that rock and roll is the closer to hell while others say that rock and roll is the closer to heaven. Rock & roll did come from the hell because the hell does not exist it just exist in our minds and hell is the reality that we create with our actions. The noise is synonym of expression, in spite of it annoys some people. The only thing you need to understand some songs is to be opened mind and you will appreciate the things you unknown.

AC/DC's Concert (descriptive essay)

’s concert

Sometimes people say I am crazy and they ask me, why did you spend a lot of money in that thing? Are you crazy? If I were you I had bought something productive and so on. And I answer them: if you knew something about rock you should know that this band has been playing for 37 years, has the second best seller in history and they are original members. For these reasons if they give a concert in my country must go and nothing else matters because it could be the very last time.

When I noticed that will come to México I became crazy. I was working and I started to save money as much as I could. I agreed with a partner and we decided to buy the tickets the same day; when, that day came and my friend needed $400 pesos and the cost of the ticket was $1150 pesos and I did not have enough money to lend him, and we tried to pawn his electric guitar, but it did not work, the we tried to pawn his I-pod and we received $400 pesos and we bought the ticket: section A, places 41 & 42. When my family knew that I bought the ticket they growled me very hard and they almost did not let me go.

After all the problems the big day came. That morning of November 12^th 2009, I got up early and my friend and me went to the bus station and we boarded the bus the trip was boring and very long I slept the entire trip. Some hours later we arrived to México City and it smelled like garbage. Then we arrived to the foro Sol and we ate and drank some cold and refreshing beer, after that we got into the raw and it was one of the biggest and widest raw I have ever seen. When took our places for the concert we waited for 2 hours then the lights turned off and a big screen came out and we saw a video then screen split in two parts and Angus came out playing his guitar and that was the most beautiful noise I have ever listened, suddenly particular smell came out and people around was smoking marihuana and all the people was jumping and sweating and the singer said” come on Mexico let me hear you scream!” and that was fantastic. That has been the best concert I have ever been.

After the concert my partner and I tried to go out as fast as possible, but we lost our matter of transportation, and we were walking trying to take a taxi but it was vain and we walked and walked almost for two hours. Then we saw a taxi but it did not stop instead of a police car stopped and the police men told us, what are you doing? It is too late and they checked us and they smelled us and one of them said “they were smoking herb” and they wanted to take us to the jail and we were too scared and we were telling them we were not smoking some people in the concert were smoking around us, after almost a hour they let us go. And we arrived to the bus station at 4 am.

 This was really good experience I would never forget it I learnt many things such as: do not be close to people who smoke mariguana and do not walk alone in Mexico City. I knew Mexico City and the most important thing is that I was in an ’s concert my favorite band. And I would like to go again and scream once again LET THERE BE ROCK!!!.

       ELECTRONIC LITERACY    

All the electronic things that have been around me had been very useful in many aspects of my life because they have helped me to make easier personal and academic activities. Since I started to use electronic objects I have been learning new things everyday and I have improved my skills. But it is an interesting story how I learn to use electronic items.

At the begging I did not know the real meaning of technology and all that stuff. For me a computer was a synonym of videogames, when we got our first computer (1998) the first thing I learnt was how to play and draw in the computer. And I never used the computer for homework because I did not find a relation between the computer and school. Sometime later I broke down the computer and we changed it for a new one. I had the opportunity to use internet until I was in junior high school and I created my e-mail account but without sense. We did not have internet at home because it was not necessary. I spent a lot of time doing unnecessary things in the computer but I learnt things I did not know.

Nowadays I use technology with specific purposes. I very often use a computer to do homework and things related with my academic development. Also I use to be in contact with my classmates in order to ask for things of school that I forget. Now the internet is very important for my academic improvement for that reason we contracted internet at home it has been very useful because I can use tools to get better level in some skills related to English by using videos, exercises, dictionaries, and so on. I also have learned to use in a better way many programs specially programs such as: Microsoft office, video converters, browsers, anti virus, etc. all that experience has been very useful for solving many academic and personal problems bout technology.

In somewhere in the future I would like to use electronic items for English language teaching. At the moment there million of pages and programs with the purpose of teaching or promoting English language, but I would like to develop my own program or page with that purpose. In a personal aspect I would like to take a course of advanced software or something like that in order to acquire more knowledge about technology. Electronic items are one of the best tools for teaching and learning because as a teacher it will be the best way to be update in new techniques and methods of teaching.

Most of things technology that I have learned by myself has been useful for two purposes personal and academic. The first one for solving problem with technology and fun; in the other hand in the academic aspect I have improved my level by using the appropriate tools to get that objective. Technology has been and will be the perfect tool to increase knowledge of any people just if they want to and know how to use it correctly. 

KAROL

Sometimes when we listen to the name Karol comes to our mind the image of the POPE (John Paul II), but in this case we are going to know about another Karol. I am Karol and I am not exactly the POPE, something that people probably do not know about me is my academic background, in the other hand most people know my relationship with my girlfriend and my likes such as rock music, playing guitar and skateboarding. It is your chance to know more about me.

One interesting thing about me are the times I changed of schools. When I was in kinder garden my father got a new job and for that reason we moved; I was in two kinder gardens. Sometime later when I entered to elementary school my father kept changing of schools (he is a secondary school teacher) as a consequence I also changed of schools. It happened six times during elementary school; four of those were in schools around Villa García, Zacatecas, and the last two in schools were in Aguascalientes close to my house. Then when I was in junior high school in Aguascalientes my behavior was the factor to change of school and I returned to Villa García and I finished junior high school there, later I entered to high school and finished there, later I enrolled in the UAA and I am there in the major English Language Teaching. These kinds of experiences are one of the most amazing because you can many people.      

I saw her, she saw me, I bothered her, and then we fell in love. Something wonderful that happened to me was when I met Veronica. It took place when we began high school; she had been really shy all her life, in other hand I am very extroverted and in the entire first grade I was bothering her until I realized I love her. We started our relationship in the end of the second grade of high school on June 6^th 2007 until nowadays (2010...). My girlfriend is older than me for six months and ten days; she is 20 years old right now. Something truly rare is that she does not like chocolate and she is allergic to spices, it is the opposite of me I love chocolate and spicy foods; I think it would be a problem. However something common between us is that we like to eat chips, to go to the movies, parks and sometimes to drink together. By her side I have learned as many things as I did not imagine, I am thankfulness with she.

Something that people must know about me are my likes. One of my likes is the music; I love rock, hard rock, blues, metal and old music. My favorites bands are: AC/DC, Pantera, Iron Maiden, The Doors, the Beatles, etc. I have had the opportunity to attend to two concerts the first one was The Doors’ performance on February 15^th 2008 in Aguascalientes city, it was fantastic, but I also am a big fan of AC/DC and they gave a concert on November 12^th 2009 in D.F. city and I was there with one of my friend that I went to The Doors’ concert. Another thing that I really enjoy is playing guitar. The janitor taught me the basic of guitar when I was in high school; later on I learnt many things from myself. I like to play covers of AC/DC, the Ramones, etc. And about physical activities I like skateboarding. I started to skate when I was 16 years old and in two years I got a good level, but because of school and job I left for a long time this activity, nowadays I skate 1 or 3 days a week if I am lucky. I would like to have all the time to practice these activities, but unfortunately we cannot have all in this life.

I hope you have noticed about the differences between the POPE and me. It was just a brief part of my personal information that maybe some people do not know about me like my academic background and the states I was studying, about my girlfriend her likes and dislikes or my likes such as classic rock bands, concerts I attended, when and with who I learnt to play guitar and my favorite sport the skateboarding.
